FSD Futures Post-16 Programme

FSD Academy is pleased to introduce FSD Futures, a new Post-16 transition programme designed specifically for young people who require a structured, supportive pathway into further education, employment or training.

The programme has been developed in response to the growing number of learners who complete Key Stage 4 through alternative provision or supported pathways and require a more personalised transition into Post-16 education.

A key feature of FSD Futures is its seamless connection to the Pre-16 Futures programme. The Pre-16 model provides structured mentorship, real-world learning deployments and measurable developmental progress throughout Key Stage 3 and 4, preparing students not only to re-engage with education but to build the personal, social and employability foundations required for successful Post-16 progression.

Through this integrated pathway, students move from early intervention and engagement support into a clearly defined Post-16 continuation programme, ensuring continuity of relationships, expectations and developmental standards. This joined-up structure provides schools with confidence that intervention at Pre-16 stage leads to tangible, sustained outcomes beyond Year 11, reducing the risk of disengagement at transition and strengthening long-term progression into education, employment or training.
